Lake Coldai

Climb to Lake Coldai – mt. 2.172

Lake Coldai is a hidden blue gem located at the base of Monte Civetta, one of the most popular places of our beautiful Dolomites.

The beginning of the path is wide and comfortable, it passes through the ski tracks of Alleghe and Zoldo ski area. When you reach Casera Pioda (1816 mt), turn left tacking a narrow path. There are more little tracks which climb up, all of these reach the top. The stretch of road which comes first Rifugio Coldai is very uneven and slippery, so pay attention if you have children with you.

Rifugio Coldai is located 2132 mt height and continue along that path for a few minutes to see the amazing little lake.
You can use the backpack for babies or climb with bigger children. You can’t use strollers.

There are other paths to reach the Lago Coldai:

561 starting from Col dei Baldi (1922 mt). You can leave the car at the big car park located at the end of Alleghe ski lift. This track is suitable for children. Km tot (roundrip) about 12 km, difference in height 700 mt.
560 starting from Rifugio Capanna Trieste (1135 mt) in Taibon Agordino (Listolade), passing refuges Vazzoler and Tissi. This tack is longer than the others and not suitable for children.
